Whenever you want to send money to Cash App, you can do an instant transfer from your Apple Cash balance to your Cash Card using only Apple Pay. Apple Pay again charges instant transfer fees of 1.5% of the transfer amount (Maximum $15)
You can add Cash App as a bank account in Apple Pay, by linking your Cash App routing number and account number. But to get these details on Cash App, you still require the Cash Card without which you don’t have any access to any routing or account number. Sending Money to Cash App from Venmo
If you have Cash App Card, you may be able to add this card to Venmo, as it is compatible and Venmo supports linking the Cash App Card.

You can use Zelle to send money to a person’s bank account which they have linked with Cash App.

- Both you and your friend must have Zelle Account
- Your friend to whom you want to send money should have the same bank account linked with Zelle as well as Cash App.
Since Cash App allows you to link a bank account or bank debit card with Cash App, sending money to a person’s linked bank account can help them access the same using Cash App. Once they have the funds in the bank account, they can pull the funds from the bank account to add to their Cash App balance or even directly use the bank account to make a payment via Cash App.
So in such cases, sending money to a person’s bank account linked with Cash App is in a way funding their Cash App account.
Using Apple Pay to send money to a person’s Apple Pay account linked with Cash App
Another way you can use to send money to your friend’s Cash App without Cash App is by using Apple Pay.
For this method to work,
- Both you and your friend need to have access to Apple Pay with Apple Cash (default wallet card)
- Your friend needs to have his Cash App Card linked in Apple Pay
Using Apple Cash, you can transfer money to your friend instantly. This can then be cashed out by your friend from Apple Cash to his Cash App Card

- Open the Messages app on your iPhone, then start a new conversation or tap an existing one.
